Drink a "Black & Tan" at La Colombe.
Visit La Colombe’s first coffee shop in Rittenhouse Square. Ashleigh discovered it when she was a freshmen in college and it has been her favorite since.
Highly recommend the “Black and Tan” which is half cold brew half latter and 100 delicious.

Eat Pizza and Soft Serve at Pizzeria Beddia
Ranked by Bon Appetit Magazine as the “Best Pizza in the Country”, Pizzeria Beddia always has the most amazing seasonal pies. Grab at least two pizzas for sharing and don’t forget to have their soft serve for dessert. FYI it’s located in an alley that seems deserted. Don’t worry you are in the right place.

Wander Through the Italian Market
Pretend you are in the “Old World” in the open air Italian Market. Need a live chicken? this is the place to go. Also neat to just walk around and take it all in. Passyunk Avenue and the surrounding neighborhood is still very much old school. We guarantee you will see no less than a dozen communion dress shops and at least 6-7 old ladies speaking Italian.

See the Sphinx at the Penn Museum
The Penn Museum is a hidden gem! Home to over a million artifacts from Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Mediterranean including a 3000-year-old, 15-ton Egyptian sphinx. If you, like Mike, are irrationally obsessed with the Bronze Age, you will enjoy the Mediterranean Collection.

Grab a Beer and Duck Sandwhich at Monk's Cafe
Named Top Five Places in the World to Have A Beer. This Belgian beer bar has over 200 beers (including hard to find ones on tap and by the bottle). The duck sandwich is delicious, but you can’t go wrong with mussels and fries either.

The Art Museum
No trip to Philadelphia is complete without a trip to the Art Museum. The art inside is amazing as is the arhcitecture of the building itself. It is one of the country’s oldest public art museums and houses one of the most comprehensive collections in the country, featuring some of the greatest gatherings of American, Asian, and European art anywhere.
Even if art isn’t your thing you could run up the steps of the museum just like Rocky.

Try a Jerusalem Bagel at K'Far Cafe
K’far Cafe in Rittenhouse Square is owned by Israeli Chef Michael Solomonov, the chef behind Zahav and Lazer Wolf, who received a James Beard award in 2019 for Outstanding Restaurant. The pastries here are delightful and the Israel bagels cannot be missed.
